Product Summary

Among Infineon's magnetic position sensors, the linear sensors offer a wide range of output types and package portfolios.

Responding to magnetic fields perpendicular to the package, linear sensors offer programmable analog or digital outputs for high precision angle and linear position sensing in automotive and non-automotive applications, used to detect the rotation or position of linear objects such as shafts and pistons. Digital outputs include PWM, SENT, SPC and PSI5.

We also offer single chip and dual chip solutions, and for automotive applications with particularly strict functional safety levels, we also offer products with documentation that comply with ASIL-D.

What is ISO 26262 compliant/ready?

For applications requiring a high level of functional safety, Infineon offers a portfolio of products that meet the requirements of ISO 26262.

An ISO 26262 compliant product is designed in accordance with the safety plan and is fully compliant with ISO 2626. An ISO 26262 ready product is not designed in accordance with ISO 26262 itself, but has additional documentation ready to support functional safety.
