What is ETK (ECU measurement/compliance interface)?
ETAS' ETK provides a universal ECU interface for advanced applications in the development and adaptation of engine and transmission ECUs. This Ethernet-based ETK interface has long-term stability and backward compatibility; it is supported by all ETAS hardware modules, INCA calibration tools, INTECRIO and ASCET development tools.
The ETK also provides development and calibration tools with a powerful interface to the development ECU, regardless of the connection state to the microcontroller. It is mechanically and electrically robust, making it fully automotive compatible, operating reliably from 4.3V to 18V and withstanding short-term voltage drops. The extremely compact design makes it suitable for installation in production ECUs and is not affected by the extreme temperatures of winter and high-temperature tests where the ECU is placed in a practical location in the vehicle. This ETK interface allows 100Mbit/s Ethernet data transfer over distances up to 30 meters without intermediate amplification.
