What is INTECRIO (Rapid Prototyping Tool)?

ETAS' INTECRIO tools are useful at all development stages, from experiments with virtual prototypes on a PC to in-vehicle verification under real conditions. With just a few mouse clicks, you can see how a functional model created in a graphical environment behaves in the vehicle, without having to first implement a new function in the code for the target electronic control unit (ECU). Because of this, INTECRIO supports work methods that are always conscious of cost and efficiency.

INTECRIO-IP: Integrated platform for prototyping

INTECRIO-IP from ETAS is an integrated platform for prototyping. Functional models and codes from a wide range of sources (e.g. ASCET, MATLAB®/Simulink®, C code or AUTOSAR software components) can be easily combined. This allows all artifacts created in the development process to be combined, tested, and validated early on.

INTECRIO-IP also allows development partners such as manufacturers, ECU vendors, and engineering service providers to collaborate across tools, and furthermore, the platform is able to be kept secret from competitors. It is also useful for protecting the model components you want to keep from unauthorized access.

INTECRIO-VP: Virtual prototyping

The INTECRIO-VP add-on from ETASallows you to analyze system models through virtual prototyping without the need for complex prototyping hardware. This add-on enables open-loop validation and pre-fitting of new functions using existing test data or model-in-the-loop (MiL) technology early in development.

INTECRIO-VP also allows virtual prototyping to be performed on a PC, using a virtual real-time operating system (real-time OS) and transmitting signals between software components in a manner compatible with the ECU. can produce particularly beneficial results. Not only functional models but also vehicle models and environment models can be integrated, enabling MiL (model-in-the-loop) applications. This allows not only function verification but also pre-fitting, for example.

INTECRIO-RP: Rapid prototyping

With INTECRIO-RP from ETAS, models and data can be used seamlessly from the virtual prototyping configuration, and the prototype can be integrated into the existing ECU vehicle network using ETAS prototyping hardware. Using INTECRIO-RP in bypass experiments (via ETK, XETK, FETK and XCP), you can use ETAS prototyping hardware as a simulation controller to calculate parameters for new ECU functions.

On the hardware side, INTECRIO-RP includes the ES800 family of high-performance measurement, calibration, and prototyping modules, the ES900 family of compact rapid prototyping modules, the daisy chain of the ES400, ES600, and ES930 families of compact measurement modules, and ETK/XCP. It supports ECU interfaces and all prototyping models generated by INTECRIO-RP can of course be used in INCA.

INTECRIO-RLINK: Prototyping Blosset

With the INTECRIO-RLINK prototyping blockset* from ETAS, you can easily and quickly test Simulink® models in a real vehicle and configure the ETAS prototyping hardware directly in the Simulink® environment.

INTECRIO-RLINK also allows you to perform all the steps necessary to generate an executable prototype directly in Simulink®. It fully supports the configuration of various ETAS prototyping targets, including:
