RTA-VRTE: AUTOSAR platform software framework for vehicle computers
Vehicle computers equipped with microprocessors will be central to existing and future E/E architectures for networking and autonomous driving. Achieving this E/E architecture requires building secure and reliable middleware, allowing automakers and service providers to focus on developing the functionality of their software applications.
The middleware needs to provide continuous and secure update functions throughout the vehicle life cycle and flexible and efficient integration of cross-domain functions with different safety requirements, while at the same time maintaining extremely high standards for safety and security. It is necessary to ensure maintainability of in-vehicle software that meets requirements and extends lifespan.
To overcome these challenges, ETAS offers AUTOSAR-compliant RTA-VRTE (Vehicle Runtime Environment). RTA-VRTE includes a full-fledged AUTOSAR Adaptive stack, a developer SDK and basic components related to safety, security, diagnostics and persistence, all brought together by ETAS. It is sold on AWS Marketplace in the form of a "starter kit" that can be used immediately.
