Product Summary

The BCM5820X is a PCI-compliant secure SoC designed for payment applications and user authentication functions in computing platforms.
It includes  BroadSAFE® security features, an ARM Cortex A series controller, on-chip SRAM, and​ ​industry-standard communication interfaces including a MIPI CSI camera interface and an NFC reader. The MIPI CSI interface can be combined with an external CMOS image sensor to provide an optimized, low-cost camera solution.
It is FIPS 140-2 level 3 compliant and integrates advanced security features to protect the system from hardware and software attacks.
Cryptographic operations such as public key algorithms, data encryption/decryption, and secure hash algorithms are hardware accelerated, and security protection logic such as tamper sensors, operating condition monitors, Battery Backed RAM (BBRAM), and Random Number Generators (RNG) are also built in.
