A SiPM is an array of avalanche photodiodes that can detect photons in the near-ultraviolet range.

It features a high photon detection efficiency of 55% at 420nm, and the cell pitch is 30um x 30um, and there are single cell type and array type.

When using with a PET-CT or X-ray detector, etc., a scintillator must be prepared separately.
