Product Summary
The Bourns® SSD series is a digital current sensor with an integrated shunt resistor and 24-bit ADC. Its configuration allows it to digitize the detected current value and output it directly from a CANBus or RS485 interface, enabling current measurement without the need for an external ADC or isolation circuit. It is designed to provide high accuracy, excellent stability, and electrical isolation performance even in harsh industrial environments such as large-scale energy storage systems and renewable energy power generation infrastructure.
This digital current sensor is also suitable for battery-related power management in building automation equipment and EV charging stations, maintaining stable measurement performance even in environments with temperature fluctuations and long-term use. As a result, it is designed to meet current detection needs in a wide range of fields, from industrial power supply monitoring to infrastructure equipment.
Product features
Main features
- 1500VDC reinforced insulation
- High accuracy with tolerance of ±0.1%
- Built-in 24-bit ADC
- ECC flash memory
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to 115°C
In addition to current detection, bus voltage measurement is also supported.
In addition to current detection, the SSD series also supports bus voltage measurement. The wiring diagram below shows a configuration for measuring current only, as well as connection examples for measuring bus voltage on both the high and low sides, and shows connection methods for measuring voltages of ±1200 VDC. When measuring bus voltage, the device uses a configuration in which the voltage leads are connected internally, demonstrating that the device is designed to monitor both current and bus voltage with a single device by switching the operating mode and connection points.
