Bourns was selected as one of only eight suppliers to receive GM's Overdrive Award, out of approximately 20,000 companies worldwide.
Riverside, California – June 11, 2026 – Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced that it has been awarded the 2025 Overdrive Award by General Motors at the 34th GM Supplier of the Year Awards ceremony held in Austin, Texas. Only eight of GM's approximately 20,000 suppliers received this award.

Bourns provides General Motors with in-vehicle sensing solutions across a diverse range of vehicle programs. Having previously received the GM Supplier of the Year award, this 2025 Overdrive Award represents a significant step forward in the relationship between the two companies, demonstrating their continued commitment to supplying and their innovative approach.

Award recipients are selected by a global selection team based on key evaluation criteria including safety, innovation, execution, resilience, and customer support, as well as alignment with GM's core values and strategy.
The prestigious Overdrive Award is presented to suppliers who have achieved results that far exceed expectations. This award recognizes outstanding performance that surpasses the standards required for Supplier of the Year in key areas of GM's global purchasing and supply chain, such as innovation, sustainability, resilience, and partnerships.
