Riverside, California – June 2, 2026 – Bourns, a leading supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced the POWrFuse™ high-power fuse series, PF-000100E, PF-01N100E, and PF-1NH100E, expanding its portfolio of high-power industrial fuse links. This series provides aR-class overcurrent protection for semiconductor and battery-based DC systems operating at up to 1000 VDC. These fuse links are designed to meet the high breaking capacity requirements demanded by modern power conversion and energy storage architectures.
As voltage and fault current capabilities continue to expand in power converters, battery energy storage systems, and DC distribution architectures, designers face the challenge of reliably protecting delicate semiconductor devices and battery subsystems while avoiding unnecessary system complexity.
High-voltage DC and high-speed failure conditions require fuse solutions that maintain predictable interruption characteristics while complying with multiple international standards. In applications such as DC common bus systems and charging infrastructure, inadequate overcurrent protection can lead to component damage, system downtime, and even safety risks. The PF-000100E, PF-01N100E, and PF-1NH100E series aim to address these challenges with standardized, high-interruption capacity fuse designs for demanding DC environments.
