Bourns Riedon™ FPM, FPV, FWP2324, and FPY Series Foil Resistors Provide Long-Term Measurement Repeatability and Reduce Calibration Frequency

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — December 2, 2025 — Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced four new series of Riedon™ foil resistors. Designed for high-precision, high-power applications, the FPM Series, FPV Series, FWP 2324 Series, and FPY Series offer exceptional accuracy and long-term measurement repeatability. These capabilities enable designers to meet stability, performance, high-power, and reliability requirements while reducing calibration frequency, even in harsh environments.

Four new foil resistor series offer TCRs up to 1 ppm/°C and ±0.005% with minimal long-term drift. These resistors are constructed with a metal foil resistive element mounted on a ceramic substrate with excellent thermal conductivity. Additionally, the metal foil resistive element offers high accuracy, low inductance, low noise, and improved long-term reliability.

Bourns' Riedon™ FPM, FPV, FWP2324, and FPY series foil resistors offer ideal, long-life measurement solutions for a wide range of current sensing, industrial, consumer, and communications applications. Their high accuracy and excellent thermal performance make them ideal for applications requiring consistent accuracy, stable performance, and long-term reliability under varying conditions, such as test and measurement equipment, renewable energy and power conversion systems, and industrial automation platforms.

To help designers match their individual application requirements, the new resistor series is offered in the following package types:
FWP2324 series: 4-pin rectangular package
・FPY series: 2-pin rectangular package
FPM and FPV series: 4-pin package with isolated backplate

Bourns' Riedon™ FPM, FPV, FWP2324, and FPY series foil resistors are currently available and are RoHS compliant.
