Improved circuit stability and measurement accuracy, four new series meet market needs for high heat dissipation performance and improved reliability

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — November 26, 2025 — Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced the addition of four new product series to its Riedon™ high-power resistor series. The newly added PSD220S, PSD227, PSD126, and PSD220T-50 series resistors are available in TO-126, TO-220, TO-227, and SMD DPAK packages. They offer power ratings from 25 W to 200 W, low inductance, and excellent pulse withstand capability, improving circuit stability and measurement accuracy.

The four new resistor series are designed to address market needs for higher thermal performance and reliability. These series offer a wide resistance range from 20mΩ to 100kΩ with temperature coefficients of refraction (TCR) ranging from ±50 to ±600ppm/°C. These features, combined with robust construction and reliable thermal performance, make PSD series resistors ideal for demanding designs such as power supplies, motor drives, test and measurement equipment, rectifiers, capacitor discharge applications, and snubber circuits. Furthermore, each series can be customized for specific applications.

Bourns' Riedon™ PSD220S, PSD227, PSD126, and PSD220T-50 series high power resistors are currently available and are RoHS compliant(*1) and halogen-free(*2).
