CVH160808H Series: Thin, Highly Reliable Design with Advanced Monolithic Structure for High-Current Applications

Riverside, Calif. — October 29, 2025 — Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, has announced the introduction of the CVH160808H series of multilayer power chip inductors. This new product utilizes advanced multilayer technology to achieve a low profile and high current capability, addressing the high-current, space-saving design needs of modern consumer and communications equipment.

The CVH160808H series utilizes a metal alloy-based core and monolithic structure to achieve high reliability, low DC resistance, and high current capability in a compact form factor with a maximum height of 0.8 mm. Rated currents range from 1300 to 4000 mA, DC resistance from 0.02 to 0.237 Ω, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, meeting a wide range of design needs. These features make Bourns' new power chip inductors ideal for power conversion applications in mobile devices, wearables, tablets, notebook PCs, and various communication devices.

The CVH160808H series multi-layer structure power chip inductor is now available and is RoHS compliant (※1) and halogen-free (※2).
