Introducing heavy-duty resistors with a wide resistance range and various package and lead styles for tough applications

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- October 28, 2025 -- Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, introduces a new series of Riedon™ precision wirewound resistors. Designed for high accuracy and long-term stability, the new series offers a wide resistance range up to 6 MΩ and an extremely low resistance tolerance of ±0.005%. These durable, precision resistors are available in multiple package sizes, including axial, radial, and square, with a variety of lead styles, providing designers with flexible options.

Bourns' new wirewound resistors feature a non-inductive multi-pi core construction, protective encapsulation technology, and an extremely low typical temperature coefficient of ±2 ppm/°C. These characteristics reduce inductance and noise while maintaining stability and efficiency even in high temperatures and harsh electrical environments. Furthermore, this series is 100% acceptance tested to ensure reliability. These high-precision wirewound resistors are useful in a wide range of applications, including measurement instruments, bridge circuits, load cells and strain gauges, image processing systems, current sensing equipment, and high-frequency circuit design.
