Automotive-grade, AEC-Q200 compliant high-current choke with a new sector winding structure for enhanced inter-winding insulation.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — September 23, 2025 — Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announces the SRF7038A series of AEC-Q200 qualified automotive-grade common mode chokes. With current handling capabilities up to 15A and a wide impedance range from 70Ω to 3000Ω, these new high-current chokes are ideal for suppressing EMI on power lines in consumer, industrial, and automotive systems.

Furthermore, the SRF7038A series uses a sector winding structure, which increases the dielectric strength between windings to prevent dielectric breakdown due to high voltage stress. The ferrite core with a magnetic closed loop structure also provides excellent magnetic shielding performance, reducing radiated noise and enhancing noise suppression. The wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C ensures stable performance even in harsh environments.

The SRF7038A series is currently available and is RoHS compliant (*1) and halogen-free (*2).
