Bourns® BTN02G and BTN04G Series Delivers Precision Thermal Management for Sophisticated, Sensitive Electronic Equipment

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- June 4, 2025 -- Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, introduces the BTN02G Series and BTN04G Series of surface-mount NTC thermistors. These new products are designed as highly accurate, compact temperature sensing and compensation solutions, providing reliable thermal management for increasingly sophisticated and sensitive electronic devices such as smartphones, consumer electronics, lithium-ion battery packs and LCD displays.

These new thermistors have the characteristic that their resistance decreases as the temperature increases, enabling accurate temperature measurement. The BTN02G series and BTN04G series have an advanced and reliable design that combines a semiconducting ceramic with an internal electrode, allowing the resistance to change uniformly and smoothly over a wide temperature range.

In addition to the standard ±3% and ±5% precision resistance tolerances, Bourns' latest NTC thermistors are now available in ±1% and ±2% types, and offer extremely accurate B-constant tolerances of ±1%, making them an excellent temperature sensing solution.

The Bourns® BTN02G series and BTN04G series surface mount NTC thermistors are currently available and are RoHS compliant(*1) and halogen-free(*2).
