A new inductor that provides high impedance over high frequencies with a thin and compact design

Riverside, California—June 4, 2025—Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announces a new common-mode inductor series designed for noise suppression in signal transmission line applications. The Bourns® SRF1209U4 series common-mode chip inductor features a low-profile, compact design that meets space-constrained design specifications. The product also offers high impedance over high frequencies, improving the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), making it ideal for signal transmission line applications.

The Bourns® SRF1209U4 series supports USB 3.1 Gen 1/2, HDMI 2.0/2.1, USB 4.0, and Thunderbolt interfaces. This chip inductor series has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, and offers a maximum impedance of 90 Ω, a maximum rated current of 400 mA, and a DC resistance (DCR) of 0.3 Ω.

The Bourns® SRF1209U4 series common mode chip inductors are currently available and are RoHS compliant(※1) and halogen-free(※2).

For more information, please visit the Bourns website.

 ※1:RoHS Directive 2015/863, Mar 31, 2015 and Annex.
※2:Bourns considers a product to be "halogen free" if (a) the Bromine (Br) content is 900 ppm or less; (b) the Chlorine (Cl) content is 900 ppm or less;
     and (c) the total Bromine (Br) and Chlorine (Cl) content is 1500 ppm or less.
