New chip inductors offer high Q, high self-resonant frequency and low DCR in a compact footprint

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- April 9, 2025 -- Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, introduces the CW2012A series of automotive-grade, AEC-Q200 qualified chip inductors. This new chip inductor series features high Q, high self-resonant frequency and low DCR in a compact footprint. Designed as an energy-efficient solution for a growing number of high frequency applications, it is ideal for signal filtering in radio transmitters, RF amplifiers, tuning applications, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and high frequency power supplies.

These new chip inductors feature a wirewound structure on a ceramic core, with features that reduce power losses and improve circuit efficiency and functionality: high Q factor up to 80, inductance from 2nH to 1000nH, DCR from 30mΩ to 2600mΩ, maximum rated current of 800mA, and operating temperature range from -55℃ to +125℃.

The Bourns® CW2012A Chip Inductor series is currently available and is RoHS compliant.
