Bournes' Riedon™ PF2203/PFS35 series high power thick film resistors dissipate up to 35W of power with low TCR and tolerance options.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- November 18, 2024 -- Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, introduces the Bourns Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors. Adding to Bourns' broad line of high-power resistors, the two series are offered in compact TO-220 and DPAK packages and offer low inductance, excellent pulse handling capabilities and a high power rating of 35 W that enables improved circuit stability and measurement accuracy.

Bourns' Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series high power thick film resistors offer a wide resistance range from 10MΩ to 51kΩ, a temperature range from -55°C to +175°C, and resistance tolerance options of ±1% and ±5%. Bourns offers these resistors to meet market demands for higher power dissipation in smaller packages. Surface mount packages such as DPAK, offered in the PFS35 series, are also particularly popular for their ability to help reduce manufacturing costs.

The features of these thick film resistors make them an ideal solution for current limiting, current measurement and capacitor discharge requirements in a wide range of applications including industrial motor drives, AC-DC and DC-DC power converters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Bourns' Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series high power thick film resistors are RoHS compliant and available now.
