Product introduction
Analog Devices' SmartMesh technology is deployed in the market by many customers. Because it consumes very little power, it is used by many customers in environments where it is difficult to replace batteries, such as in factories or on the ground in parking lots. Wireless mesh networks can also ensure greater than 99.999% data reliability in noisy, RF-challenged environments such as factories. Power-saving and highly reliable SmartMesh technology enables it to reliably deliver critical sensor and control data for many years to come. We offer two product categories: SmartMesh Embedded Wireless Sensor Networks and SmartMesh IP Networks.
The motes (terminals) that collect data are placed in such a way that a mesh network can be built. Each mote can act as a repeater for each other, forming a mesh network as shown. Since it is a self-forming multi-hop mesh network, when motes are placed, nearby motes automatically communicate with each other to build a network to the manager.
