The ACS37030 and ACS37032 are fully integrated current sensor ICs that detect the current flowing through a primary conductor. They use two signal paths: a Hall effect element path to acquire DC and low frequency currents, and an inductive coil path to acquire high frequency currents. The combination of these two paths allows a wide frequency band to be detected by a single device.

The coil characteristics increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as the frequency increases, minimizing noise seen in the output. The internal structure achieves high isolation by magnetically coupling the magnetic field generated by the current flow in the conductor to a fully monolithic Hall and coil IC. Current is differentially sensed by two Hall plates and two coils which reject interfering common mode magnetic fields. The ACS37030 features a zero current reference and the ACS37032 features overcurrent fault detection with an internal pull-up.

The ACS37030 and ACS37032 are offered in an LZ Fused-Lead SOIC-6 package, providing 420 VRMS of reinforced isolation in a compact, cost-effective package compared to the SOICW-16 package. These sensors feature a voltage reference output pin for use in noisy power environments. The SOIC-6 package has lower conductor resistance compared to the standard SOIC-8 package and supports up to 840 VRMS of basic insulation or up to 420 VRMS of reinforced insulation.
