CoaXPress is a digital interface for high-speed video transmission, and the standard was established by JIIA (Japan Industrial Imaging Association). Using a coaxial cable of 75 Ω, this standard not only achieves high-speed transmission of up to 12.5 Gbps per cable from the camera to the host, but also enables the transmission of control packets and triggers from the host to the camera, as well as power supply. increase.

As a layer on top of the CoaXPress standard, the GenICam(Generic Interface for Cameras) standard must be supported. We have many years of experience with GenICam, and the CoaXPress IP also comes with a software library that can easily implement the GenICam standard.

The Microchip PolarFire FPGA supported by this IP can operate with extremely low power consumption while having a maximum 12.7 Gbps transceiver, making it a very suitable device for building machine vision cameras such as CoaXPress.
