The PI3740 is a buck-boost DC-DC regulator with ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) control.

ZVS control minimizes switching loss and achieves best-in-class conversion efficiency even under conditions with a large input-output voltage difference.

The device itself integrates the controller, MOSFETs, and necessary key components in a SIP (System In Package) configuration, requiring external inductors, voltage divider resistors, and minimal capacitors, but without sacrificing efficiency with ZVS control High frequency switching operation is realized, circuit space can be reduced, and transient response characteristics can be improved for line and load fluctuations.

The PI3740 achieves a wide input range of 8V to 60V, and its ZVS control suppresses variations in efficiency biased to the input voltage, which is common in buck-boost power supply circuits, making it ideal for applications with various battery inputs.
