For those who have more than 1 year of microcomputer development experience and are considering MSP430 development

Macnica Fuji Electronics holds several seminars using microcontroller and processor products from Texas Instruments (TI). This time, we will introduce the "Hands-on Workshop to Learn the Basics of MSP430."

This seminar is recommended for those who have more than one year of microcontroller development experience and are considering developing with TI's MSP430 microcontrollers. Through coding, programming, and debugging using TI's integrated development environment Code Composer Studio (CCS), you will gain in-depth knowledge of the low-power MSP430's functions and development tools.

If you would like to learn the basics of microcontrollers, please take advantage of the "Microcontroller Workshop for Beginners <Free>".

Scene from the seminar

A seminar where you can learn practical usage of MSP430 in a short time

Most of the seminars are exercises, as they are intended for those who have experience in developing microcomputers and will be developing the MSP430. For this reason, you can learn more practical usage specialized for MSP430 in a short time.

Practice using MSPWARE useful for actual design

MSPWARE is a software package for the MSP series provided by TI. It includes user's guides, sample code, training and design resources, available as a component of CCS or as a standalone package.

In addition, MSPWARE includes a "Driver Library" that enables the use of high-level and highly efficient APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Practice controlling wear peripherals.

Exercise

Thorough explanation of MSP430's biggest feature "low power consumption"

The feature of MSP430 is "low power consumption". We will explain both software and hardware methods to achieve this low power consumption. In the exercise, you can experience low power consumption using Energy Trace, a power consumption analysis tool of CCS.

Interrupts are also an essential concept for those who develop low power consumption applications.
At the seminar, you can learn how to control MSP430 interrupts using MSPWARE and how to actually incorporate interrupt routines.

Voices from students

We will introduce the voices we received from the participants.

  • It became an approach to reviewing the design and improving efficiency
  • It was easy to ask questions in a small group, and it was very easy to understand the content of the answers.
  • It was very meaningful to have a seminar with so much content for free.

Dear students, thank you for your feedback.

For those who are considering attending the seminar, we recommend that you apply early if you are interested, as the seminar may be full due to the small number of applicants.

Bonus, Ucchie is very active as a lecturer

Ucchie, who was showing his freshness until a while ago, is doing a great job as a lecturer.
Of course, Ucchi learned the basics of microcomputers using the MSP430 when he was a newcomer.
