What is "SLWSTK6000B" that can simultaneously evaluate multiple wireless standards?
SLWSTK6000B is a wireless starter kit from Silicon Labs.
This starter kit includes wireless modules SLWRB4161A and SLWRB4162A.
This wireless module is large and has the following features.
- Equipped with wireless SoC Mighty Gecko "EFR32MG12"
- 2.4GHz compatible
- Multi-protocol support for multiple wireless standards (ZigBee, Thread, Bluetooth LE)
- World's top-class low power consumption SoC 1.4μA during deep sleep
In particular, the SoC "EFR32MG12" supports multiple wireless standards with a single chip,
Smartphone ⇔ Wireless module ⇔ ZigBee (Thread) mesh network
applications can be evaluated.
Two multi-protocol connections for different applications
The wireless starter kit "SLWSTK6000B" supports the following two multi-protocol connections.
1. Switched Multiprotocol
With this multi-protocol, smartphones and tablets can communicate via Bluetooth, and after communication is disconnected, the same device can connect to ZigBee, Thread mesh networks, etc.
This makes it easy to perform tasks that require on-site settings, such as initial product settings and updates.
2. Dynamic Multiprotocol
Connecting with this dynamic multi-protocol makes it possible to operate by switching wireless standards such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, and Thread with a single chip.
Therefore, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, etc. can be used in combination at the same time.
Wireless Starter Kit Contents
This wireless starter kit "SLWSTK6000B" comes with the following items.
- 3 main boards
- Wireless module "SLWRB4161A" 3 units
- Wireless module "SLWRB4162A" 3 units
- AA battery board (socket)
- cable
- EFR32MG starter guide guard
Since 3 main boards and 6 wireless modules are included, mesh network evaluation is possible with 3 units.
In addition, you can connect the smartphone and the main board via Bluetooth, and evaluate the connection between the remaining main board and ZigBee, Thread, etc.
