What is the SGP30 that can measure multiple gases with one chip?

SEK-SGP30 is a gas sensor evaluation kit provided by Sensirion. This evaluation kit is equipped with the MEMS gas sensor "SGP30".

SGP30 is a metal oxide gas sensor with multiple sensing elements mounted on one chip.
It is highly sensitive to gases such as Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), H2, and ethanol, and can also obtain H2-based carbon dioxide calculations (CO2eq).
In addition, countermeasures are taken against interfering gas "siloxane" that lowers the sensitivity of metal oxide sensors. This makes it possible to achieve long-term stability without deteriorating sensitivity to gases.

TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) is a general term for formsaldehyde, which causes sick house syndrome, cigarette smoke, and gases that cause chemical hypersensitivity.

Step 1. Install the viewer software "ControlCenter" on your PC

ControlCenter is dedicated viewer software for the SEK-SGP30 evaluation kit. It can be downloaded free of charge from Sensirion's website.

Step 2. Connect sensors, sensor bridges and PC

Connect the PC and the sensor bridge with a USB cable, and connect the sensor and the sensor bridge with an RJ45 connector.
