Features of KX126-1063
KX126-1063 is an ultra-compact MEMS 3-axis acceleration sensor provided by Kionix.
(Kinoix is a ROHM group company.)
This accelerometer uses Kionix's proprietary plasma micro-machining process technology. With this technology, a mass spring with a silicon structure is realized, and acceleration is detected by differential capacitance. Therefore, a highly reliable and highly accurate 3-axis accelerometer is realized.
The KX126-1063 has the following major features.
- 2.0x2.0x0.9mm LGA12 pin package (pin compatible with KX122)
- Wide input voltage range (1.71V to 3.6VDC power supply) and stable sensing characteristics with internal voltage fluctuation suppressed by internal voltage regulator
- 2048-byte FIFO/FILO buffer memory to keep recording data while reading
- Includes algorithms such as tap/double tap, gesture recognition, and activity monitoring
- Acceleration range up to 8g and output data rate up to 25600Hz
- Built-in pedometer (pedometer) with overflow, watermark and increment interrupts
- High-resolution wake-up/back-sleep function configurable up to 3.9mg
- User selectable low power or high resolution mode
- Digital I2C up to 3.4MHz and Digital SPI up to 10MHz
- Digital high-pass filter output
Therefore, it is most suitable for applications such as wearable devices.
7 advantages of using the high-performance acceleration sensor KX126-1063
1. Ultra small LGA package with size of only 2.0x2.0x0.9mm
It is a size that can be used even in narrow spaces such as wearable terminals.
2. Measuring range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g
Even the slightest vibration required for mobile devices can be captured. In addition, noise countermeasures are taken using internal common mode, minimizing the effects of process variations and temperature.
3. Built-in regulator eliminates the need for a peripheral power supply circuit
The input voltage range is 1.71V to 3.6V. Stable sensing characteristics are achieved despite a wide input voltage range. Therefore, it can be used safely even with battery power.
4. Built-in FIFO/FILO buffer memory of 2048 bytes
Measured data can be stored in buffer memory.
5. Built-in gesture recognition, tap and activity monitoring algorithms
Single-tap and double-tap inputs can be detected on the acceleration axis. It can also be used to install a tap input function on mobile devices.
6. Supports digital I2C and SPI interfaces
You can easily connect to your microcomputer, FPGA, and ASIC.
7. Equipped with a pedometer function
It can also be used as an additional function to wearable devices.
