As shown in the figure on the left, the SX-59HLS does not require the development of a control driver compared to a normal wireless module, so initial development man-hours can be minimized. Furthermore, even if the current CPU (MCU) you are using is weak, it is possible to make it wireless. This product specializes in wireless serial communication (UART), and offloads the functions required for communication to the module itself.


These functions can be controlled by Silex's proprietary AT commands, which has reduced the hurdles to wireless microcomputer devices that previously required complex specialized knowledge and development time. Customers' systems can be made wireless in a short period of time, and can be installed in various devices with small size, thinness, and low power consumption.

One of them is IEEE 802.1X authentication. This is the authentication standard (authentication VLAN) used for LAN connection. A quarantine network data link layer technology that regulates connections by means of authentication so that only terminal devices that have been approved for connection do not participate in a computer network. In some cases, such as when END users exchange private information, the IEEE802.1X authentication function is required for the wireless devices introduced into the network. Despite its simple concept, the SX-59HLS supports the IEEE802.1X authentication function so that it can be installed in a high-security network environment.
