Who Needs 900V GaN? (Video length: approx. 9 minutes)

In this video, Power Integrations' Director of Technical Communications Andy Smith explains, with accompanying calculations, the reasons why 900V GaN-based devices are increasingly being chosen in recent power supply designs to simultaneously achieve high efficiency, high output power, and high switching performance.

Additionally, Power Integration's InnoSwitch3-AQ IC for automotive applications and InnoSwitch3-EP for home appliances, consumer, and industrial applications will be introduced. By incorporating a 900V-rated PowiGaN switch, they will achieve high efficiency of up to 93% even without a heatsink, enabling the design of highly reliable power supplies up to 100W.
