In this column, I will explain how to connect the Timberwolf evaluation board to the GUI (MiTuner) and control it.
Evaluation board operation procedure
1. Install MiTuner 6.9.0.
2. Apply power to the evaluation board.
3. Insert pins 2, 4, and 6 into the JAIB1 jumper and connect the USB conversion connector.
4. Connect to PC with USB cable.
5. Launch MiTuner 6.9.0. At that time, the following window will open. Press Connect.
6. After launching MiTuner, press the Firmware tab ⇒ Stop Firmware button ⇒ Erase Flash button in this order.
7. Download Microsemi_ZLS38063_1_ASR_Assist_firmware_P1_4_7.zip from Microchip's SDS site.
Here is Timberwolf's Firmware image and configuration file. Unzip this file and put it in the appropriate folder.
8. Please press the … button and select Microsemi_ZLS38063_1_P1_4_7_Firmware.s3 from the folder you unzipped earlier.
9. Press the Update Firmware button and wait for it to complete.
10. Similarly for Configuration, press the button and select Microsemi_ZLS38063_1_P1_4_7_Config.cr2
Press the Update Config button. And finally press the Start Firmware button.
11. After that, when you press the Diagram tab, the following screen will appear.
12. Click Audio Path Configuration.
13. Configure the connection as follows.
14. Please turn off MiTuner6.9.0 once and unplug the USB cable.
15. Point the attached microUSB to USB cable as attached.
16. Launch Miture6.9.0 and press connect.
17. The following GUI will appear. Press the Audio Path Configuration button.
18. Please press the Cross point switch tab and set as shown in the attachment.
19. Close the above GUI. Basic settings are now complete. To change settings after this point, use the JAIB1 jumper again.
It is possible to change the settings of ZL38063 by pointing the USB cable from , launching MiTuner.

miniUSB to USB cable: launch ZL38090 GUI
