Space FPGA Quality Assurance -Screening-

screening

Microchip's space FPGAs come in three different screening levels depending on their level of quality.
There are three screening levels:

・QML-V / EV Flow:最も高い品質レベル(JAXAの品質レベル Class1に適合)
  (V-Flow)      NASA DLAのQML認定では、QML-Vに分類される

Mainly used for manned spacecraft

・Extended Flow: Same screening items as QML-V / EV Flow, but with some tests simplified
(E-Flow) A quality level with a lower device unit price than V-Flow (conforms to JAXA's quality level Class 1)
Classified as QML-Q by NASA DLA QML certification
Mainly used for satellites in geostationary orbit and space exploration satellites

・Mil-Std 883 Class B: Extended Flow test items and test content are simplified, and the device unit price is set lower than E-Flow.

(B-Flow) Quality level (conforming to JAXA quality level Class2)
Classified as QML-Q by NASA DLA QML certification

Mainly used for low-orbit satellites, satellites with short operation periods, rockets, etc.

Table 1 shows the screening items for each screening flow.
