What is ISELED? ?

ISELED is a 1 package product of RGB 3 color LED + LED Controller (Inova). The alliance is being launched to lower costs, simplify controls and expand the capabilities of LED lighting and display solutions for the next generation of interior lighting. (Microchip has already joined the alliance)

Unlike single LEDs, the inclusion of Inova's Controller has advanced calibration characteristics to ensure all LEDs deliver the same color and brightness over the entire temperature range, ensuring automotive-level lighting consistency. Is possible. Microchip can provide ISELED control MCUs for ISELEDs released by LED manufacturers who are members of the ISELED Alliance.

・Communication between MCU and ISELED is a Daisy chain (up to about 4000 LEDs can be mounted)

・Max 2Mbit/s data communication speed

・Data communication is MCU and 1st LED Single End (5V)

・The color of each RGB LED "trio" can be set with 24-bit resolution (3 x 8bit) (more than 16 million colors can be set)

Microchip has a lineup of 8, 16, and 32-bit MCUs for ISELED. Microchip is one of the few manufacturers releasing ISELED-enabled MCUs that has joined the ISELED Alliance. Microchip can propose a wide range of MCUs, and we will propose the most suitable MCU according to the application.
