Gigabit Ethernet PHY suitable for industrial equipment
"VSC8531XMW" is a Gigabit Ethernet PHY for 10/100/1000BASE-T provided by Microchip.
It has built-in line-side termination to reduce EMI, making it suitable for industrial equipment applications that require noise immunity.
It also has a compensation function that conforms to the RGMII version 2.0 standard timing, eliminating the need for an onboard delay line and reducing the design load.

1. Easy to interface with microcontrollers
It supports "RGMII/RMII" as MAC interface. It also has a wide voltage level of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V (LVCMOS), making it easy to interface with a microcomputer.

Microchip's proprietary EEE mode (Energy Efficient Ethernet) is supported.
Combined with energy-efficient features such as peripheral fan speed and LED brightness control, this enables power savings of up to 90% compared to competing 1000BASE-T devices.
