ATWINC1510 is a Wi-Fi module provided by Microchip.

  • Operating Voltage: 2.7-3.3V


In particular, since it has an SPI-to-Wi-Fi interface and a built-in protocol stack, it is possible to extend Wi-Fi functionality to existing microcontrollers with minimal load.

Three development environments that can be selected according to the user's environment

The ATWINC1510 has the following three development environments for quick evaluation. All of them are designed so that you can immediately evaluate them using the sample code.

1. WINC1500 PICtail/PICtail Plus Daughter Board for PIC microcomputers

If you are using a PIC microcontroller in your existing application, this board is perfect.

Because it supports the "PICtail/PICtail Plus" interface, you can directly connect the Daughter Board to the PIC microcomputer development board and start evaluation immediately.

The figure below shows the Daughter Board connected to the PIC18 EXPLORER BOARD.

2. Starter kit "ATWINC1500-XSTK"

This development board is a starter kit for evaluating the Wi-Fi module "ATWINC1510".

All hardware is provided to start evaluating the ATWINC1510.
The package is as follows.

  • SAMD21 Xplained Pro with Arm® Cortex®-M0
  • WINC1500 Xplained Pro Extension board with Wi-Fi module
  • I/O1 Xplained Pro Extension board with illuminance sensor, temperature sensor and MicroSD
  • Two USB Type A to Micro B Cables (1.5m)


Development can be started immediately using the integrated development environment "Atmel Studio" and sample code.

3. ATWINC1500 Xplained Pro expansion board
