This document explains how the signal behavior differs between distributed constant circuits and lumped constant circuits, and where the boundaries are.

As the rise/fall speed of devices has increased, it has become necessary to consider even a short line length as a distributed constant circuit. Correctly understanding the behavior of distributed constant circuits is also important for taking countermeasures against reflections and crosstalk.
