This document describes characteristic impedance.

The wiring pattern is only drawn as a line on the circuit diagram, but on the actual board it has a physical shape such as width, thickness and distance from the ground. These line constants determine the characteristic impedance. As the speed of signals increases year by year, the effects of noise such as reflections are becoming apparent. Even if we take only one damping resistor value as a countermeasure, it is important to correctly understand this characteristic impedance.
