ModelSim - ModelSim / Questa Sim waveform comparison using SignalTap II results

Intel (formerly Altera) development tool Quartus Prime / Quartus II real machine verification function Signal Tap (formerly SignalTap II) can monitor internal signals during FPGA operation.
It is possible to import actual machine operation data observed by Signal Tap into ModelSim / Questa Sim and compare actual machine and simulation results.
Convert Signal Tap result waveform to vcd and import vcd file to ModelSim / Questa Sim to realize waveform comparison function.

This document introduces the procedure for converting the signal data during operation with SignalTap II to a file, loading it into ModelSim / Questa Sim, and comparing the waveforms.
