Solutions for interfaces
Sub-LVDS
Sub-LVDS has less signal amplitude than conventional LVDS, so it is effective in reducing power consumption and EMI countermeasures.
Cyclone® V low-cost FPGAs also support Sub-LVDS as standard.
V-by-One® HS
Due to higher resolution, the number of cables in LVDS has increased, and skew between cables has become a problem.
THine Electronics' "V-by-One HS" not only reduces the number of cables by incorporating the latest technology such as clock data recovery, but is also effective in reducing EMI and power consumption.
An affiliated company of Macnica has developed IP that complies with this "V-by-One HS" standard, so it is now possible to provide smooth support together with FPGA. This is an IP that has already been mass-produced in Japan. It can also be connected to THine Electronics' "V-by-One HS" standard LSI.
PCI Express
With Cyclone V and Arria® V equipped with PCI Express ® Gen2 hard IP that supports multi-function, anyone can easily implement PCI Express. A hard IP is a circuit built into the FPGA in advance. Although the circuit cannot be changed, it is optimized at the transistor level, so the power consumption is low, and the size of the FPGA is small, so you can use an inexpensive FPGA.
SATA-III
We have an IP for SATA to interface with a general-purpose inexpensive HDD.
Since SATA dedicated LSI has a large minimum order quantity, we recommend using FPGA for I/F with SATA.
DDR2/DDR3 controller
Cyclone V and Arria V with hard IP for memory controllers such as DDR2, DDR3 and QDR II make it easy for anyone to connect to external memory.
