For example, creating effective jigs is one of our strengths. Those outside the manufacturing industry may not be familiar with this, but at manufacturing sites, we create original tools called jigs.

There are various jigs for various purposes, but they can be expected to have the effect of stabilizing manufacturing quality and increasing work speed, such as making electronic device assembly work easier and enabling anyone to perform the same operations regardless of who is performing the test.

Depending on the Company customer's requirements, we will propose the optimal manufacturing process, including which factory to use and how to manufacture the product, as well as considering the creation of effective jigs.

Long-term supply is also one of our strengths. We have had some long-standing customers who have been manufacturing the same boards for over 25years. In such cases, we need to deal with manyEOL (End of Life) products, but instead of simply rushing to secure inventory, we propose pin-compatible alternatives and review the number of products manufactured to minimize remaining materials after production ends, in order to create the optimal production plan for the customer.

Reassessing the supply chain from a BCP perspective

The global spread of the coronavirus has had a significant impact on domestic manufacturers, with many facing challenges in procuring parts and restrictions on production activities. This situation has made it difficult for some domestic manufacturers to secure stable procurement, leading them to consider shifting their production bases domestically.

In the restructuring of the supply chain, the transfer of factories from China to Japan is progressing rapidly. From the perspective of BCP (Business Continuity Plan), the Company is also leading the transfer of factories from China to Japan and working to set up domestic factories. This has ensured the stability of the supply chain and enabled us to respond quickly and reliably to customer needs.

It is also possible to build an out-out business.

the Company have established a support system for global expansion. We respond to customer needs not only in Japan but also by utilizing our sales network of 92 locations in 26 countries. This allows us to smoothly expand our business in the global market.

For example, in cases where mass production of hundreds of thousands of units per year is required, the Company work with overseas manufacturing partners to meet the required quantities and strict cost requirements.

Furthermore, even though we are partners overseas, we do not only manufacture products, but also provide the same level of technical support as in Japan, such as proposals for development and replacement of parts. As a result, we have received high praise from our customers and have built win-win relationships with our manufacturing partners.

We can respond to customer audits at certified factories overseas just as we can at domestic certified factories. We are familiar with the risks of each country, including the economy, politics, and tax systems, and can support overseas procurement of mounted circuit boards and finished products.

In today's manufacturing industry, the ability to procure semiconductors is extremely important. If even one component is not available, the product cannot be completed.

By obtaining EOL information as soon as possible, we can begin procuring products before other companies can act. Even for semiconductors that are disappearing from the market, the Company persistently negotiate with manufacturers to secure the necessary number of products. This allows our customers to maintain a stable product supply without interrupting their production lines.

It often takes a long time from the start of a project to mass production. In one case, it took more than five years from the start of the project to mass production, and several ICs that were originally planned to be used became EOL during development.

Even if such a situation occurs, our sales and technical teams work together to quickly recover. Our greatest strength is our ability to act immediately, whether that be negotiating with suppliers to secure the necessary stock for the lifetime of the product or researching pin-compatible devices that can be replaced and conducting verification experiments to see if they can actually be used.
