Currently, in Japan, Macnica is providing the latest Japanese localized version of RapidTracker9, including support services, as the sole domestic agent. For customers whose support service contracts end after the end of August 2015, we would like to inform you that support services and new/additional licenses from Macnica will be discontinued.

In addition, BMC's sales partner Niscom Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Niscom) will begin providing support services and new/additional licenses for RapidTracker9 from September 1, 2015. By signing a new contract with Niscom, eligible customers will receive support services and new/additional licenses from Niscom.

RapidTracker9 support flow

  • Until August 31, 2015
    User → (RapidTracker support partner) → Macnica → BMC
  • After September 1, 2015
    User → (RapidTracker support partner) → Niscom → BMC
    *Support response history managed by Macnica will be provided to Niscom with your consent.

In addition, for cases where the support service contract with Macnica continues after September 1, 2015, Microsoft's extended support period is the longest (currently July 9, 2019), and Macnica will provide support services and new We will continue to provide additional licenses.

The support services provided by Niscom are as follows.

  • Support hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding company holidays)

Future product roadmap

Niscom plans to provide the Japanese localization function of FootPrints12 (available from BMC), the successor version of RapidTracker9, this winter. FootPrints12 builds on the capabilities of RapidTracker9 with updates designed to increase user satisfaction and productivity, including a sleeker, more customizable GUI and access to all features from mobile devices. Until now, only the English version was provided, but with the Japanese version, we will provide an easier-to-use environment for domestic users.

Upgrading from RapidTracker9 to FootPrints12

There are two major versions between RapidTracker9 and FootPrints12, so you can't upgrade directly. Therefore, Niscom is currently verifying the migration method from RapidTracker9 to FootPrints12. We will make an announcement when it is released.
