We exhibited at "SIX2019" sponsored by ABEJA Co., Ltd. from March 4th (Monday) to March 5th (Tuesday), 2019.

At Macnica 's booth, we exhibited behavioral analysis solutions with the theme of "Don't end with PoC! Continuous development and operation of AI models!" In this report, we will briefly introduce the solutions and products exhibited at the Macnica booth.

Behavior analysis solution

Macnica 's behavior analysis solution is a service that analyzes and visualizes human behavior patterns using image analysis technology and human body posture detection models. Because it is processed using edge computing, its usage scenarios can be quickly realized using existing cameras installed in factories, stores, and various facilities, both private and public.

This time, we will introduce Next System Co., Ltd.'s VisionPose, an AI (?? intelligence) system that can detect distance and depth information using only a web camera, ABEJA Platform of ABEJA Co., Ltd., and NVIDA Jetson AGX Xavier. We exhibited a demonstration using the technology, and it was very well received by people who own factories and people in the medical field.

VisionPose uses deep learning without relying on Kinect or other cameras with depth sensors, and is an AI ( ??intelligence) system.	ABEJA Platform is a platform that can consistently implement the data acquisition, accumulation, annotation (teaching data creation), learning, deployment, inference, and relearning pipelines required for AI continuous integration.

What are the advantages of processing on the edge side?

The advantage of edge processing with Jetson AGX Xavier is low latency and minimal burden on network traffic. In addition, newly trained models can be remotely deployed via the network, enabling continuous model updates to be put into practice.

In what kind of situations

It can be applied to detecting dangerous behavior of people, crisis management and checking simple mistakes in routine work. Here are two usage examples.

① Use in factories and production lines

It checks the flow and movement of people and predicts dangerous behavior. In line factories, it is possible to prevent omissions in checking parts and maintain quality.

② Medical sites and nursing homes

It is possible to detect the skeleton and use the data while sitting on a bed or in a wheelchair. It can be used for rehabilitation and health maintenance activities without placing a burden on the patient.

① Space-saving DGX "NVIDIA DGX Station" that can be moved under the desk

NVIDIA DGX Station brings the incredible performance of an AI supercomputer to a workstation size with its innovative engineering and quiet, unique liquid cooling system. It also features four of the latest NVIDIA Tesla V100 with next-generation NVLink™ and new Tensor Cores.

This is for start-ups and individuals, so it has attracted a lot of attention from those who are considering AI development.

(2) Small edge computing Box “Cloudian AI Box”

The Cloudian AI Box is a small device that incorporates an NVIDIA Jetson TX2 embedded module as a GPU that performs AI (artificial intelligence) processing at high speed, and is equipped with power supply connection with network cameras and LTE/Wi-Fi communication functions. In addition, power supply connection (PoE: Power over Ethernet) to a network camera enables video/image recognition, classification, and so on.

The photo shows an indoor model, but there is also an outdoor model that is waterproof, dustproof, and lightning resistant, so it can be installed anywhere.
