The severity of the COVID-19 raging around the world is growing day by day. In order to prevent infection, it is essential to quickly and appropriately analyze the infection status and visualize it in an easy-to-understand manner, and data science capabilities are indispensable.

Therefore, H2O.ai began to predict the spread of COVID-19 by region using its machine learning automation toolDriverless AI.

The project is being driven by Marios Mikhailidis, a data scientist who has also ranked No. 1 in the world in the Kaggle Grandmaster rankings. He used many practical techniques and domain knowledge to search for the optimal model, from pre-processing such as data cleansing and adding geographic features, to modeling using Driverless AI's time series predictive modeling capabilities. We are adding our insights to the obtained models to find new insights into the spread of this infection.
