I compiled a project I created earlier with the latest Quartus II, but an error occurred and the compilation terminated. Please tell me how to resolve.

A compilation error has occurred due to the SignalTap II configuration file (.stp) being of a different version.
Open the .stp file once with your Quartus II and save it.
(At that time, you will be asked if you want to update the .stp file, so select "Yes".)
After saving, execute recompilation and check if the error is resolved.
