Analog Devices R/D converter: What happens to the position information when the resolver is stationary in the AD2S1210?

A/D converter (ADC)

As the resolver moves through the positions corresponding to the least significant bit weights, the output of the tracking loop is updated by 1 LSB. If it is in the tracking state until just before it stops, the previous position is saved in the register and can be read out.

However, please note that the value may fluctuate by about 1 LSB even in the tracking state, and that an error may occur depending on how the sensor is stationary. (For details, please refer to data sheet P16 “Loss of Signal Detection”)
