AIS+ provides real-time vibration alerts and optional video recording capabilities, setting a new standard in driver safety while protecting privacy.
Gothenburg, Sweden, January 6, 2025: Smart Eye, a global leader in Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), has announced AIS+, the latest evolution of its award-winning safety system designed for small OEMs and the aftermarket for vehicle fleets. To improve driver safety, AIS+ introduces two groundbreaking features: real-time vibration alerts and safe video recording.
Like its predecessor, AIS+ leverages Smart Eye's proven AI technology to detect and address driver drowsiness or distraction, and now with vibration alerts and optional video recording, AIS+ further strengthens its position as an essential solution for fleet operators and vehicle manufacturers to prevent accidents and improve safety.
The new vibration alert system helps drivers refocus their attention on the road using seat vibrations. This feature joins the existing audio and visual alerts, giving users more flexibility in customizing the system. Vibration alerts are especially useful in commercial vehicles such as buses, as they do not disturb passengers with sound or light.
AIS+ introduces an optional video recording feature, capable of storing up to 100 hours of footage on an SD card. This feature provides fleet operators with valuable insight into driver behavior and system performance. Users can also disable video recording completely and no footage is stored without their explicit consent.
