Features of Skyworks crystal oscillators

The greatest features of Skyworks crystal oscillators are their low jitter and low phase noise.
In addition, unlike typical oscillators from other companies, a major feature of this oscillator is that it has a built-in PLL, allowing for frequency adjustment.

​The Single / Dual / Quad / Any options in the table each have the following characteristics.

​Single
It stores 　one pattern of frequency information.
(Like a typical oscillator, it outputs a fixed default frequency when powered on.)

​Dual
It stores 　two patterns of frequency information.
(Example: Frequency A ⇔ Frequency B)
The output frequency can be switched by switching the input voltage to the external pin (FS pin) between High and Low.

​Quad
It stores 　four patterns of frequency information.
(Example: Frequency A ⇔ Frequency B / C / D)
The output frequency can be switched by switching the input voltage to the external pins (FS0, FS1 pins) between High and Low.

​Any
Within the supported frequency range, the frequency can be flexibly changed.
The frequency can be switched via 　I²C.

As shown in the image below, you can check the phase noise characteristics according to the selected conditions by selecting the model number, output frequency, and format.
