Renesas Electronics Automotive MCU RL78/F13

Product Summary

The RL78/F13 microcontroller is the successor to the 78K0R and R8C, and is available in a lineup of Flash ROM sizes from 16 to 128 KB and packages with 20 to 80 pins.

The new IC achieves the industry's lowest level of current consumption, is equipped with a LIN module, a common automotive interface, and includes functional safety-related functions such as a RAM ECC function, PLL lock function, port output status monitor, stack overflow detection, and a built-in oscillator dedicated to WDT.

This enables the construction of a highly reliable system, which can be used not only for automotive applications but also for industrial applications.

*The series is divided into models with and without a CAN module.
