More than 35 types of "winning combinations" that combine Renesas and Dialog products announced

TOKYO, Japan, December 18, 2019 — Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723, Representative Director and President and CEO: Hidetoshi Shibata, hereinafter “Renesas”), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced 39 “Winning Combinations” to benefit customers as a result of Dialog Semiconductor Plc (hereinafter “Dialog”) joining the Renesas Group. These combinations combine the complementary product portfolios of Renesas and Dialog in embedded processors (microcontrollers/SoCs), analog, power, and connectivity.

• Quick Connect IoT​

  The recently announced Renesas Quick Connect IoT is a development platform that facilitates the prototyping of IoT systems, enabling users to significantly reduce the time to market for their products. It is a multi-board development platform that allows you to quickly and easily connect different types of sensors to your MCU development board, eliminating both hardware and software compatibility challenges. For Quick Connect IoT, we have prepared a Pmod™ Type 6A standard board equipped with Dialog's ultra-low power Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) (DA14531) and Wi-Fi (DA16200) modules, respectively, and software. did. This enables seamless data transmission from Renesas sensors and microcontrollers to mobile applications and the cloud.

• ​100W adapter with power delivery & wireless charger for USB PD and wireless power supply

  Renesas has developed a reference design for a 100W adapter. It is a multifunctional AC adapter that supports PD output of maximum 65W, rapid power supply of USB power supply standard BC1.2, Qi standard 15W wireless power supply, and two USB ports of 5V and 2.1A. This includes Renesas USB PD controllers, MOSFETs, PFC (power factor correction) control ICs, and wireless power ICs, as well as Dialog's latest high power density AC/DC chipsets with advanced zero-voltage switching. • ​Smart Asset Tracking Label​

  Using Bluetooth LE, we have developed an ultra-thin credit-card-sized tracking solution, the Smart Tracking Label, for monitoring and tracking environmental data.   For IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment), we provide solutions that combine Dialog's PMICs and CMICs with Renesas' automotive R-Car SoCs, buck regulators, and timing ICs. For displays, Dialog's LED backlight and haptics drivers are combined with Renesas' PMIC for LCDs to create a display system.
