Storage technology has evolved dramatically in recent years, with Universal Flash Storage 4.1 (UFS4.1) at the heart of this evolution.
UFS4.1 is highly compatible with cutting-edge fields such as AI (artificial intelligence), and offers new value that goes beyond the boundaries of conventional storage.
This page introduces the features and lineup of UFS4.1.
Features
Incredible data transfer speed and efficiency
UFS4.1 achieves high-speed data transfer speeds of up to 4,100MB/s, making reading and writing digital content smoother than ever before. This superior processing power enables real-time data analysis and processing using AI algorithms, making it ideal for applications that require quick access to large amounts of data and instant learning and prediction.
In addition, UFS uses a serial interface, allowing simultaneous reading and writing of data through full-duplex communication, which significantly improves data transfer speeds, significantly exceeding the performance of conventional e.MMC (maximum 400MB/s).

Equipped with the world's fastest G9 NAND
Micron G9 NAND delivers the industry's fastest NAND I/O transfer speeds at 3.6GB/s, meeting the low latency and high throughput needs of data-centric workloads, from AI training and machine learning to unstructured databases, autonomous driving vehicles and cloud computing.
Featuring the fastest NAND available, Micron UFS 4.1 products deliver the highest levels of performance and innovation.

Micron proprietary firmware
This function optimizes the efficiency of how and where data is stored within a storage device.
Data Defragmentation
Performance degradation is often caused by data fragmentation, where files become scattered across the storage and are difficult to read efficiently. Data Defragmentation addresses this issue by allowing the storage controller to issue defragmentation commands directly within the NAND, bypassing the host layer.
Fixed features of WriteBooster
WriteBooster Pinning allows the host to pin frequently used data from a designated area in the storage device called WriteBooster, facilitating the dynamic transfer of important data from storage to memory, facilitating more efficient processing without putting a strain on memory capacity.
Intelligent Latency Tracker (ILT) function
Monitors I/O storage latency on both the system and storage devices, detecting and analyzing abnormal delays that affect smartphone performance.
