XO2 series

Product Summary

The XO2 series is used in a wide range of fields as a one-chip FPGA with built-in memory for configuration. The configuration memory uses a FLASH type that can be rewritten 100,000 times, and can be field-updated on the board via I2C and SPI.

In addition, the HC series that can be operated with a single 3.3V, the ZE series that can achieve ultra-low power consumption on the order of uW, and the HE series that can achieve both low power consumption and performance. We also have a wide range of series to match. In addition, the I/O part has a built-in block dedicated to differential I/F, and although it is a small FPGA, it is good at high-speed transmission I/F, and is suitable for interfaces in a wide range of fields such as LVDS, MIPI, Sub-LVDS, etc. It is possible to correspond.

Installed hardware and functions

CFM (FLASH memory for configuration)

The XO2 has a built-in FLASH memory for configuration. There is no need for an external FLASH, and a single chip enables immediate startup in the order of several ms. It is also possible to update the configuration data (field update) from the host CPU, etc. via I2C or SPI.

UFM (User Flash Memory)

The XO2 has built-in FLASH for storing user data in addition to the FLASH memory for configuration.
(Not built into the XO2-256 series.)
It is possible to store and read serial information and log information that you want to store nonvolatilely.

EBR (Embedded Block RAM)

The XO2 has a built-in memory made up of hard blocks called EBR. With a capacity of 240kbit, it is possible to configure functions such as a simple data buffer without using the user logic area.

internal oscillator

The device has an internal oscillator that can generate clocks from 2.08 to 133MHz. Therefore, it can be used for detection of asynchronous signals, LED control, etc.

gear logic

Devices in the XO2-640U series and above have hardware built-in serial-parallel and parallel-serial circuits called gear locks for differential signals. Since 1:2, 1:4, 1:7, 1:8 gear logic is built in, it is possible to support differential I/F of various protocols. With these Box, it is possible to support differential I/F up to 756Mbps per lane in spite of being a small device.

Multi-Voltage I/O

XO2 can receive signals with different voltages in the same BANK, which is very convenient in cases where the number of pins is insufficient due to BANK voltage dependence, or pin assignment is not possible.

Hysteresis function

The XO2 has a hysteresis function for all I/Os. Settings can be changed programmably for each I/O. This function is particularly in high demand in industrial equipment applications and noisy environments.

Rich package lineup

XO2 has a wide range of package lineups such as BGA, WLCSP, TQFP, and QFN, and can be used for various purposes.
