AEC-Q101 compliant bidirectional TVS diodes address the protection needs of space-constrained signal lines.
Riverside, California – June 22, 2026 – Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced the CDSOD323-TxxC-Q series of automotive-grade TVS (transient voltage suppressor) diodes, designed to protect single data lines and I/O ports from ESD and surges. The series combines bidirectional protection and low representative capacitance in a compact JEDEC SOD-323 package, maintaining the integrity of high-speed signals in space-constrained designs.
As electronic systems become smaller and high-speed interfaces become more widespread, designers are required to protect against transient phenomena such as ESD, EFT, and surges without compromising board space or signal performance. Furthermore, automotive applications require additional requirements such as AEC-Q compliance and a wide operating temperature range. The CDSOD323-TxxC-Q series addresses these design challenges by providing low parasitic capacitance in a package suitable for high-density PCB layouts, along with ESD protection up to 30 kV.
"Designing compact automotive and portable electronic devices requires circuit protection that meets standards requirements without sacrificing signal quality or board space," says Rollin Roos, Product Line Manager for Circuit Protection Products at Bourns. "The CDSOD323-TxxC-Q series provides bidirectional transient protection, low representative capacitance, and AEC-Q101 compliance in a JEDEC SOD-323 package, helping to design signal lines in space-constrained environments."
